This is Not This Heat + CURL + O Yama O + Carla Dal Forno (DJ)

BBC Radio 3’s Late Junction continues its first festival with this genre-defying evening of live music, programmed by the Barbican. The second night features O Yama O, Curl and This Is Not This Heat.

It’s a lineup that animates what the radio show does best, with a programme unified by a shared sense of artistic adventure. Headlining is This Is Not This Heat, the pioneering cult band led by Charles Hayward and Charles Bullen. Elsewhere, there’s Curl, the collective founded by Mica Levi and Coby Sey. Kicking off the night is O Yama O, the musical project formed by London-based visual artists Rie Nakajima and Keiko Yamamoto, joined by David Cunningham, continuing a collaboration from their recent album.

Late Junction is the flagship experimental music programme on BBC Radio 3 and BBC Sounds, with everything from Russian sound art to free jazz, ancient Japanese court music to Chicago footwork. The festival will feature live versions of the programme’s Collaboration Session, plus a live Late Junction Mixtape for the gathered audience.

16+ only. 16s to 17s must be accompanied by an adult. No refunds will be given for incorrectly booked tickets.
