For the second talk in Vice Film School’s ‘The Future of Documentary’ series we address “How do we widen the range of subject matter, talent and access in documentary?”

For documentary film making to be truly representative and explore its widest scope, the traditional venues of commissioning, funding and access need redefining. We’ll speak to young disruptors, traditional gatekeepers and the professional bodies working to provide opportunities that address these issues.

Speakers on the day will include

Clare Anyiam-Osigwe - Writer, Director, Actor and MD at BUFF

Joya Berrow & Lucy Jane - A documentary unit whose films have been featured on National Geographic, Nowness and VICE

Sebastian Thiel - Writer, Director and Producer

Eloise King - Director/Exec Producer, Founder of @womanondocs, Ex Global Executive Producer at VICE

Hosted by Daisy-May Hudson - Director and Producer
