EartH’s SPRING/SUMMER PROGRAMME 2020
Introducing EartH’s New Spring/Summer programme for 2020…
Our multi-space arts venue continues its broad, global, and open programming in the first half of this year; music genres on display will span the whole gamut from jazz to R&B, hip-hop to Latin, upcoming pop to experimental electronic, folk to Americana, and afrobeats to hardcore rock.
Featured events in the theatre include sold-out shows from Jack Garratt, Alfa Mist and Swans – plus The Glory returns to host the final of its Drag King contest, Man Up! And don’t miss a rare show from Ry X and Frank Wiedemann’s joint project, HOWLING.
Downstairs in the hall we have Shabaka Hutchings’ OneFest featuring jazz talents such as Maisha, Nat Birchall, Okumu, Byron Wallen – plus a host of talks on music industry culture; the ever-evolving hip-hop talent that is Princess Nokia, all the way from New York; and acid house legends 808 State.
Not only does our venue host events from an eclectic range of musicians, but we also support the best in arts and culture of other genres: talks and debates with our regular partners 5×15 and Intelligence Squared, stand-up from Plosive‘s Hackney Comedy Experience, LGBTQ+ nights, and much more.
Most recently we have partnered with some great organisations to bring more free, low-priced and community-focused events to EartH, within our bar EartH Kitchen. Coming up this season we have the Spring edition of Born::Free’s poetry night, Veranda; East London’s queer bollywood hip-hop night, Hungama; electronic duo Bonasforsa playing live in conjunction with the release of their debut album; and plenty more. So keep tabs on EartH Kitchen’s events for the latest updates.
