Makin’ Moves join forces with London dance collective Indahouse for an all day and night dance extravaganza at Earth Kitchen in Dalston, a venue we are very familiar with its high ceilings, wooden floor and state of the art sound system. Indahouse comprise of four members, Clara Bajado, Frankie J, Jo.L and Dat Boi Troy, who have all been integral to the London dance scene since 2007 not only as dancers but as awesome teachers!!

The event gets underway at 5pm with a house dance work shop hosted by Indahouseuk , come and get involved and learn some moves before we hit the floor later for the main event the 2vs2 all styles dance contest which sees dancers teaming up to win a the big prize of £150!

Presenting the djs playing throughout the day, we have one of our most exciting line ups to date which sees Makin Moves residents Matt & Jamesey joined by two international star djs Kapela from Paris and Masaki Morii from Japan!

Kapela has been one of the rising stars in the soulful / afro scene for sometime. Building up a reputation as one of the top djs in Paris at the infamous Djoon club where he has a monthly Sunday residency. He’s someone we’ve wanted to bring to Makin’ Moves for sometime and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us!

Masaki Morii also joins us all the way from Japan with his unique deep afro sound for his debut performance in London! This man’s productions have been on fire in the last two years via his M2Soul Music imprint and we look forward to welcoming him !

This event has something for everyone, with Makin Moves giveaways during the day so £10 is an absolute bargain!
