This event will be taking place in EartH Theatre.

Join the Louis Dowdeswell Big Band on Sunday 27th August for an unmissable evening of music at EartH.

With over 15 million views online for his critically acclaimed Big Band, the pioneering trumpet player and producer Louis Dowdeswell is leading a resurgent interest in the genre. Hailing from the southwest of the UK and aged just 29, he remains at heart a hard-working gigging musician and in-demand session player and producer.

Since completing his degree at the Royal Academy of Music, Louis has flourished in the London music scene as both a trumpet player and producer. He has studied with Wayne Bergeron, Gary Grant, Simon Gardner, Mike Lovatt, Mark David, Nick Smart, Steve Waterman and Paul Beniston. A major part of his commercial trumpet training was the National Youth Jazz Orchestra with whom he played lead trumpet with between 2012 and 2014 and took part in a BBC Proms concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

Louis has performed and recorded with a stellar list of artists including Michael Buble, Robbie Williams, Seal, Zac Brown. He has also played with several prestigious orchestras, such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, English National Orchestra, and English Session Orchestra, in addition to lending his talents to numerous West End musical productions.
