Broody, moody, seething pop is X Ambassadors’ mainstay, with latest album The Beautiful Liar exploring brothers Sam and Casey Harris’ childhood listening to radio dramas. The concept album gives the Brooklyn indie scene outsiders space to explore a penchant for the epic (a la Massive Attack’s Teardrop), alongside the anthemic ballads long-term fans will be accustomed to, thanks to tracks like Renegades, Undeniable and Home.
