Alternative + Indie

The setting of EartH’s unique theatre space, a reclaimed art deco cinema, has attracted a wealth of established alternative and indie acts such as Pulp’s Jarvis Cocker, supergroup The Good, The Bad and The Queen (Damon Albarn, Paul Simonon, Tony Allen and Simon Tong), Bat For Lashes, Vampire Weekend, and Maximo Park – to name but a few.

We’ve had our fair share of Mercury Music Prize, BBC Sounds Of… artists and broadsheet favourites headline the venue, too. Critically lauded acts that have played EartH include Aldous Harding, Nick Mulvey, Julia Holter, Black Lips, Nilüfer Yanya, Kindness and Kelsey Lu.

With our basement studio currently in construction, our hope for the future is that we will provide local young people with the space and tools to hone their craft and follow in the footsteps of these artists.
