Alex Scott

Alex Scott MBE is a former Captain for Arsenal, England Centurion, football pundit, television presenter and expert speaker in the field of football and sports. Alex signed to Arsenal aged 8 and stayed with the team for most of her career. She helped Arsenal achieve a domestic double of the FA Women’s Cup and the FA Women’s Premier League, and was later appointed as Captain for the team. She played for Britain in the Olympics and in 2017, prior to retiring, became the second most capped England player, with 140 appearances.

Since retiring from football, Alex has carved out a successful career in broadcasting and her knowledge, insights and punditry skills are highly sought-after. She is a well-known and popular pundit on BBC and Sky Sports. She Co-Hosts Sky Sports’ Goals on Sunday and is a regular on BBC’s Match of the Day. Alex made history as the first female Sky Pundit on a Sky Sports’ Super Sunday and was the first female to commentate for the BBC for a Men’s World Cup. Alex has also presented Match of the Day Kickabout and The Women’s Football Show.

Outside of football, Alex works with a number of impressive brands and is an ambassador for Nike, Mastercard, former club Arsenal and The Sun Newspaper, for which she writes a weekly column. She participated in Bear Grylls: Mission Survivor, Strictly Come Dancing and is a regular guest presenter for The One Show.

She is dedicated to a number of charity projects including Premier League Communities, Premier League Plastic Pollution Challenge and the Sky Ocean Rescue. In 2012, she opened The Alex Scott Academy, an academy system offering an unrivalled calibre of training designed to focus on educational qualifications alongside football training and skill development. Alex Scott was awarded an MBE in the 2017 New Year Honours for services to football.
