Tara Lily

Hailing from South London and of South Asian/U.K. heritage, Tara Lily spent her late teens developing her own unique brand of jazz. Growing up in a council flat in Peckham around rappers and beat makers, whilst learning to play trad Jazz and hard Bop, she found herself at The Brit School aged 15. Not able to fit the mould however, she left early but went on to win a place at the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music, to study jazz vocals and piano, at the same time continuing to write songs and produce her own tracks.

At 22 she launches her Debut EP ‘Lost In London’ that boldly crosses genres. It’s smoky vocals, smooth saxophone and hard electronic beats caught the attention of everyone from Motown Records UK – who just signed her as their first UK act – to Virgil Abloh who introduced her to her first manager.
